✦ Victorian-style glasshouse tucked into a cedar grove

✦ Designed for intimate weddings and elopements (75 guests or fewer)

✦ Just outside Des Moines in historic Madison County

Iris Aisle is one of the most unique venues in Iowa and it’s been on my list of favorites for a long time. A Victorian-style glasshouse tucked into a cedar grove in Madison County, this space feels like a hidden garden right outside of Des Moines.

The greenhouse is designed for small weddings and elopements, with a guest count of 75 or fewer. Surrounded by trees and filled with natural light, it creates a quiet, personal atmosphere that feels completely different from larger Iowa venues. It’s the kind of space that invites couples to slow down and focus on the people who matter most.

The venue was built with the idea of creating a sanctuary where people could feel connected to both nature and each other, and every part of it reflects that intention.

If you’re drawn to intimate spaces surrounded by trees and natural light, this greenhouse has a calm, timeless feel that photographs beautifully. I love working here — it’s peaceful, full of texture, and designed for genuine connection. If you’re feeling a pull toward this kind of setting, I’d love to photograph your day here. →
