✦ Sultry jazz-club atmosphere with cinematic lighting and blue velvet stage drapery

✦ Backstage room with hardwood floors, bistro lights, and tall windows

✦ Located in Des Moines’ Western Gateway with expert in-house coordination

Noce Jazz & Cabaret is one of my favorite venues in Des Moines, and I’m especially drawn to the Mainstage — it’s straight out of a David Lynch film. The blue velvet curtains, dim lighting, and moody atmosphere make it feel like stepping into another time. It’s swanky, romantic, and dramatic in the best way. I’d love to photograph a ceremony right there under the stage lights.

The Backstage room is an entirely different kind of beauty. It’s a warm, open space with exposed brick, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and long strings of bistro lights. During the day, light pours through large windows. The combination of the two spaces — one moody and cinematic, the other bright and textural — makes Noce incredibly versatile for couples who want a wedding with personality and atmosphere, as well as distinct spaces for their ceremony and reception. Plus, Noce’s event coordinator, Kristen Meyer, is wonderful to work with — she’s organized, kind, and makes everything easy.

If you’re drawn to the atmosphere of moody jazz clubs and cinematic lighting, I’d love to photograph your wedding at Noce. Inquire with me here →
