My favorite camera bags (and accessories!)
I recently put together a guide for my favorite cameras, lenses, and flashes, but I also wanted to share my favorite camera bags and accessories that I currently use!
My Camera Bags:
Ona Capri II Waxed Canvas Shoulder Bag
The Ona Capri II Waxed Canvas Shoulder Bag is my daily camera bag I take to most weddings, shoots, and concerts. It fits a 13” laptop, a camera, and several lenses. I’ve gotten creative with how I pack it and have fit up to 2 bodies and 4 lenses plus a harness and accessories and flash all in there at once, plus it’s really comfy and has a longer detachable strap, or the two shorter shoulder straps for however you like to wear it.
Biggest perks of the Ona Capri II Waxed Canvas Shoulder Bag IMO:
- Really, really durable
- Waxed canvas provides protection from rain, spills, etc.
- Customizable inserts
- Two shoulder strap options
Ona Monterey Waxed Canvas Backpack
The Ona Monterey Waxed Canvas Backpack is my travel camera bag that I take on planes and also to longer all-day or multi-day shoots. It fits a 13” laptop, multiple camera bodies, and several lenses, and has a separate top compartment for miscellaneous items. I like to travel with this bag because I don’t like dealing with shoulder bags at the airport, and prefer to keep the weight evenly distributed across my back when I’m also lugging a suitcase. Again, the inserts are super customizable so you can get creative with how you pack and I always fit a TON of gear in this bag.
Biggest perks of the Ona Monterey Waxed Canvas Backpack IMO:
- Great for air travel
- Extremely comfortable
- Even weight distribution
- Really, really durable
- Waxed canvas provides protection from rain, spills, etc.
- Customizable inserts
My 2-Camera HARNESS:
Holdfast Gear Money Maker
I have two of the Holdfast Gear Money Maker harnesses and they are great! I have a leather one I bought years ago (still in perfect shape and now buttery soft from lots of use) and a nylon one I got this year, which isn’t as luxurious feeling or as robust, but is better for packing lighter and traveling. The linked one below is to the leather option. I can’t recommend a 2-camera harness enough if you are shooting long days or using a lot of primes and are changing lenses frequently. This harness literally frees up both your hands and takes SO MUCH weight off your neck and shoulders by distributing it evenly across your back.
Biggest perks of the Holdfast Gear Money Maker Harness IMO:
- Super comfy to wear
- Great if you change lenses often or like to shoot multiple bodies
- Customizable
- Gets even better and softer over time
- Takes a ton of weight and pressure off your neck and shoulders
- Frees up your hands
Hope y’all love my picks, I’ve been really happy with these particular products and they’ve been serving me super well for the past several years! Sound off with any questions in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer them for ya!
