Playful Cocktail Bar and Arcade Engagement Session
I had such a fun time with Megan and Conner for their engagement session!
They wanted to start at a cool retro cocktail bar, so naturally we chose The Bartender’s Handshake first! Megan wore a funky vintage sweater that fit perfectly with the bar’s old-school artwork and cozy vibe. They grabbed seats at the bar, ordered cocktails, and we got some snuggly photos while they waited for their drinks.
It was a gorgeous, sunny fall day, so as soon as the drinks were ready, we moved out to the patio. The patio has the best colorful retro furniture, so we tried out a few different spots, shifting around to keep the harsh afternoon sun out of our eyes. I love how many different looks you can get in this space—every corner feels like a completely different setting. This bar always gives me a little bit of a New York feel, which is probably why I love it so much. 🥰
After finishing their drinks, we headed over to Up/Down in the East Village, where they played some of their favorite retro games—Ms. Pac-Man and Pinball. After some couch snuggles in the basement arcade, we ran upstairs for a few rounds of Skee-Ball before wrapping up. It was such a fun day bouncing around the city with these two, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at Iris Aisle next May!
